A tribute to Bostyn

Who couldn't have fun with this little one? Thank you Cari for your kind words, but the one that makes it all happen is this little one. She lightens up everyone's day and just makes you happy to be alive. You have done a great job!

Adventures in Babysitting Part 2

When my mom makes corn bread she uses half of a box of white cake mix. Little did I know she puts the other half back into the pantry. Today when I saw Ava exit the pantry with a box of white cake mix I thought "Oh she can't open it, I'll let her hold it". As I started to make lunch I could hear her laughing and chasing Walter. When I turned around I found Ava feeding Walter cake mix while feeding herself as well.




My lesson for today is to keep a straight face at all times, otherwise time-out will not be taken seriously. When this cake episode happened i wanted to put Ava in time-out...unfortunately I was laughing so hard she thought it was funny and instead of time out we took some pictures!

Adventures in Babysitting

This weekend I am babysitting my niece Ava while my whole family is scattered around the world. Each day I learn something new. Today I learned
1. Naptime is NOT optional and
2. white shirts are definately a no no. (I have a jelly stain on my white t shirt from today!)

Here are some pictures from the pool, Ava was a little nervous at first, but by the end she loved it. She just discovered her belly button and loves to find others. Enjoy the pictures!!
