Leland's Prophecy

For those of you who know my dad, he is the defintion of conservative. Just wanted to enlighten all of you fellow bloggers on his prophecy...

The mainstream media has led us all to believe that George Bush has led us down a fiscal path that will destroy us. Actually they are not far off! Bush’s policies on foreign trade (come on George add the VAT tax already), his strength at home with interest rates (please Bernanke raise the rates!) and his failure to produce M2 and M3 data on money supply is ridiculous. So what if the economy slips into recession because we spike interest rates to 10%? So what if homeowners lose their homes? It’s already happening! We are already in a recession. Foreign nationals refuse to buy our currency because its worthless! There is no interest rate, there is no interest and foreigners are disposing of our currency faster than we can print money (did I say we don’t publish our M3 data anymore?). And worst of all, the Stock market is nothing more than public perception! This junk about the stock market dropping on oil fears or rising due to the elimination of short selling on financial stocks…. Please….. it’s nothing more than public perception. There is no fundamental reasons (other than our currency being sold faster than we print money) for the lack of faith in the market.

Ah hah! This is where Barack comes in. Yes he inherits a failed economy because of my man Bush, yes the stock market is failing, yes the media will point fingers at conservatives for the next 4 years, no we won’t drill off shore for oil because congress won’t let us… BUT IT DOESN’T MATTER! The libs and media will anoint their King to be President and once the finger pointing and excuses get washed out, sooner or later he has to create his prophesied CHANGE! And the media cannot let him fail because after all he is their guy. Thus, they will portray a stronger housing market, a robust stock market, a rising dollar, better trade, and we will be back on solid ground because of their support for the King. You’ll see. It’s prophetic!

Yeah, he is going to tax you to death. But 2010 is right around the corner and the GOP will begin to win seats. It always happens.

BTW Dad... I am voting for Barack.

Clothes Line

I don't dry any of my clothes... maybe a T shirt here and there. While my mom was here for my birthday we found the coolest contraption... A Clothes Line!!! It is retractable and allows me to hang my clothes without draping them all over the house each time I do laundry!!

Wonder Puppy

The little girl I babysit loves loves loves puppies. Whenever we play anything puppies are always involved. Her favorite character to play is "Wonder Puppy" (and I am Wonder Monkey). In a few weeks she is having a birthday so I decided to put my sewing skills to the test and make a Wonder Puppy cape... here are the results.

(please do not judge... I am wearing my PJ's)

I couldn't forget the matching cape for the actual wonder puppy...

(don't worry.. Simba was just the model, I haven't bought the wonder puppy yet)

Thankfully she is only 3 (turning 4) so she won't notice mistakes or poor sewing skills. I couldn't find a pattern I liked so I just winged it and did my own thing! Let's hope she likes it!

Too Funny...

and yet so true.

Clinton News Network

Also known as CNN... It is interesting to me that this country has turned in to a place where we sue the people that protect our country. In our office at work we have a broker (Joe) who used to be a Navy seal. Today I worked in the orange county office and he told me this interesting and true story. He was a Captain in the Iraq war and was over hundreds of soldiers. It is customary for insurgents (terrorists) to lie on the street and act as if they are dead. When you go up to them and see if they are dead they don't move and so soldiers continue moving on assuming they are dead. As soon as you pass them they get up at shoot you. One particular night Joe was walking down the street with a few men and they came across one of these insurgents. They kicked him to see if he was alive and he didn't move. They continued walking and a few minutes later the insurgent got up and killed one of Joe's men. The next night they came across the same situation, and one of the soldiers kicked the man and he twitched. Fearing for his life he killed this man, and the three men behind the insurgent because they too were twitching.

Of course CNN filmed this scenario, and the three other men turned out to be civilians. This soldiers who were protecting our country and his life is now being charged in civil court for killing three innocent civilians.

So I ask you, what is justice?

I know this is like 2 weeks late...

But... I keep seeing this blog tag going around and I decdided to join in on the fun!

Memory Lane!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

CPK!

You can never go wrong with a night out at CPK. Drew had a lecture to go to and Brock was out of town so Cari, Bosty and I decided to get some las minute dinner. Once Drew found out we were headed to CPK he skipped out on his lecture and joined in on the fun! I think the funniest event of the night was while we were talking Bosty decided she wanted to be a part of the conversation so she started moving her hands (like her Aunt Gi-Gi) and mimicking anything we said. It was hilarious... Bosty is always a good little girl at dinner! Thanks girls for a great night on the town!

Smoothie Night!!

Tonight the Trythall family (minus Bill) came over to hang out and visit. We convinced Kelly to let Nick and Jake stay and spend the night with us. As soon as she left we busted out the Magic Bullet and made smoothies and vanilla shakes!! Yummy! Here are some pictures of us with are party mugs!! Thanks Kelly letting us have a fun night filled with the Wii and Magic Bullet!!

4th of July

For the 4th of July we went up to Fishlake (Utah) to have a mini family reunion (mini meaning unfortunately not everyone could be there). We had the best time playing Loaded Questions, going to the Richfield Parade, and walking "The Loop" (or running if you were holding Ju Won's leash). I think my favorite part of the weekend was teaching Bostyn to say "NO, I LOVE you!" In her deepest voice every time you pointed at her. It was hilarious! I only took two picture ALL Weekend. I figured we had enough cameras to go around!

I took this on our way up to Fishlake. My mom used to have an aerostar when we were little and she LOVED it! I was laughing so hard when I saw this highway patrol sporting the aerostar!

Here is my only picture of the actual 4th! We were watching the Richfield Parade in the shade!

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July!

Bachelorette

I have always enjoyed The Bachelor and some seasons I watch and others I could care less about. Now that Grey's is off for the summer I have to find new shows to watch and this season I have gotten into the Bachelorette! I know most people like Jeremy and were sad to see him go, but I was SO excited! I have liked Jason since day 1 (Sorry Ash) and I always thought Jesse was cute and fun loving, but Deanna's type? heck no! But after seeing the two of them last night he was so cute!! Deanna really has a tough decision to make. I did feel badly for Jeremy on "The Men Tell All" but it only made me love Jesse and Jason even more!!!

Who do you think Deanna will choose?

Jason...

Or Jesse?
