Long Road Ahead!
This weekend has been quite busy. Andy woke up Saturday morning in horrible pain--the worst yet as well as major swelling and bruising. I called Dr Thomas and he informed us this was not normal and to head over to his house immediately. We arrived at his house and after an examination he concluded that Andy might be suffering from blood clots in his calf and thigh. He sent us directly to the ER where we sat and waited to be seen. 4 hours and a dopler (sp?) ultrasound later Andy had the beginnings of a blood clot. We were sent home with several new prescriptions to help with the pain and to thin his blood. Here are some pictures of his poor leg.... We have a long road of recovery ahead of us, but I think it will be worth it in the end!!

First sewing project....
This was supposed to be a surprise, but I figure whether she opens up a package or my blog it will be surprise either way! I decided to make a baby blanket for baby Shea, and although the fabric isn't very "baby" it was the only fabric I liked. I have never made a baby blanket before so it is a little rough around the edges...hopefully I can improve!! So anyway..Ashley this one is for you!!

Birthday Celebration!
This weekend has been quite the celebration! We had the best time hanging out and having fun. My family always goes all out for every birthday, my mom always does such a good job in making us feel special the whole day/weekend of your birthday. Between swimming, running errands and eating we had our days cut out. Everyone has been pampering me all weekend, definitely the best birthday EVER! It was so fun to have my mom, Ashley, and Ava here at our house. All weekend Ava kept saying "Go to Jin Jin and Andy's house". Andy was a very good sport even though he was in pain all weekend. Here are some many many pictures of all our adventures!
Yummy Birthday Breakfast... German Pancakes!

Ava would copy anything JuWon did..

Ava "helping" grandma make a birthday cake...

Opening Presents... Can you tell I was suprised? Andy totally got me! I have wanted a Wii for so long, but my longing only got stronger when the new mario kart came out! Trythall family we are going to be playing against you so start practicing!!!

We set it up that night and played bowling and boxing. Ava wanted to join in so she got her shoes and starting punching and thought it was the funniest thing. You can also see Andy is the back trying to warm up with two bags of ice on his knee!

When I was at BYU I took a sewing class and ever since have wanted a sewing machine. Although I learned how to make a blouse, I don't think I will ever make one again. However, I love making curtains, blankets, etc... and this year my mommy got me a...

SEWING MACHINE!! I can't wait to start sewing on this new beauty!
We had a great time this weekend and a BIG thank you for all the calls, texts, and birthday wishes. Everyone helped to make this a special weekend. Here's to another year!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JILLIAN!
Today we are super stoked to be able to celebrate Jillian's birthday with Tracy, Ashley, and Ava. Jillian is celebrating her golden birthday today 22 years old on the 22nd of June. The scary thing is that our puppy has his birthday documented for the 22nd of June 2006, he turned two today. How nuts is that? Jilly turns 22 and Juwonie turns 2 on the same day! Im loving this. So in honor of tradition here are 22 reasons why I love and appreciate Jillian:
1. She has a smile that lights up any rooms, literally the most beautiful smile I have ever seen.
2. She has a personality and a likability that is as beautiful and real as her smile, it is hard to find a level headed person that dislikes my wife. I know that sounds cocky but......... ok I think I am entitled to be cocky about her.
3. she gave a loser like me a chance, everyone told me I hit a home run with her, and I never let myself forget it because I really did.
4. She is the greatest with children. I cannot wait to see this amazing mother in action. I just know I am going to be chopped liver when you ask our kids who they love most.
5. She has such a great sense of humor
6. Her reactions to everything throughout the day keep a smile on my face
7. She is able to laugh at herself
8. I admire her loyalty, never have to question who's side she is on
9. Her testimony and just all around desire to be righteous, she is such an example to me
10. Her cooking, come by and eat dinner with us and then you will know why......
11. Jilly just adores her family, and it isn't hard to understand why.
12. She is one of the hardest workers I have ever known. Both at work and in the home.
13. You can't teach determination and drive like she has, amazing ability to see the job get all the way done. "I HAVE GOT TO........"
14. Her style, I just love everything she touches. she just "makes it work"
15. Her ability to be just down right silly with me. I am a goofy guy and she plays right along with me. We have a ton of fun together.
16. Her affection she shows for me, if i ever just need a hug or a kiss she just knows.
17. How she just puts up with my family sometimes, she has never spoken ill of them..... ever
18. Jillian is so smart, in school, in life, in everyday things. (she could survive in the streets if she had to)
19. The support she shows for me in my career, she is behind me going for what I want to do and what will make me happy, but she will never let me settle and to have someone like that so close is priceless.
20. Her creative ability is off the charts. Ever seen one of her scrapbooks? yea thats just one example.
21. The way she sleeps. wither its on the couch(mouth wide open) or in the bed (diagonal, blanket stealing, kicking punching). I just cant get enough.
22. I am never able to seriously get mad at her, no matter if I tried as hard as I could I could never ever be upset with her. I see christ in her countenance, and I love her so much for that.
Obviously there are like 1000 more but these would have to be my favorites. I love you Jilly. Happy Birthday!

ACL reconstruction

I met with Dr. Thomas today to go over what exactly was repaired yesterday and I think that he is one of the nicest and smartest man I have ever had the privilege to meet. Everything went well yesterday, my ACL was taken out and tendons from my hamstring were sewn together to create my new ACL. Both of my meniscus were severely torn but repairable. I have a special kind of suture in both sides of my meniscus holding it together that the man himself invented, Brilliant. With any other doctor I would have been hobbling around without any cartilage in my knee like Jimmy Dugan. Jilly has been wonderful in taking care of me, and putting up with me when I don't want to be taken care of. I am too lucky to have her in my life. still feeling a little loopy today, but I guess Im not as out of it as yesterday. Although, I think that Jilly and my parents are making up some of the things that they said I was saying yesterday. Thank you all for your calls of love and support. It means a lot to me.

Home at last!

(This was before surgery--all nice and happy, he humored me as I took pictures in this shower cap... they are only for the nurses, but I was playing Merideth and made him put it on!)
Today Andy had surgery on his left knee. For those of you who didn't know he tore his meniscus and his ACL. They thought that they only needed to repair his ACL and the meniscus would heal on its own. So we got their at 2:30 for a 3:30 30 minute ACL fix. Unfortunately once they opened him up they realized that there was much more damage then they expected. The quick 30 minute surgery turned into a 2 1/2 hour surgery. They were unable to repair one of his meniscus because it was too heavily damaged and the ACL was in shreds. But alas, all is well now. When Andy woke up he was not very with it. Every time he opened his eyes he would say, "Oh hi sweetie" as if I had just arrived. On the way home he started singing, "Sippy Jug, Sippy Jug" (to the tune of smelly cats) then he proceeded to tell me that Dr.Seuss was his anesthesiologist. He is pretty out of it tonight and hopefully I can keep the pain from coming so tomorrow won't be so bad! A BIG Thank you to John and Jane for coming out and helping tonight. I'm not sure I could have gotten him in and out of my car without them!!
A little Ben & Jerry's never hurt!!

My kind of movie night!
Last night we decided to rent a few movies that have been on our list of "must sees". The best part of watching movies at home are:
1. You control the thermostat so it is not freezing
2. You can make both kettle corn and regular for varying taste buds
3. It's cheaper
4. If you get tired half way through you can go to bed and finish it in the morning
We love movie night!

So You Think You Can Dance
I KNOW I can't dance.... but I love watching those who can! We had the best time watching the first taping of SYTYCD! I decided to go down for the weekend just to go to the taping. I got to stay at Ashy's house and spend time with the Larsen family. Dallas and Mom picked us up and we all headed to LA. Our cute mom put together our lunches for our ride up... they included our favorite Subway Sandwiches, Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies, Grapes (in individual size tupperware) and our favorite Chips!
Waiting in line with our signs.... before they took them away!

When we got our wristbands they split our group up. ALthough at first I wasn't so sure I liked that ideam, it actually worked out in our favor. A group of 2 basically gets to go wherever you want... so Mom and Ashy got to sit behind the choreographers and Dallas and I got to stand behind the stage. It was SO nice being able to lean against the stage! And everytime a couple came out we would talk before they performed and after. I feel as though I am best friends with Kherington and Courtney G!
After the show we were all starving and so we headed to Marmalade for some YUMMY Dinner. Our waiter was FABULOUS and kept the diet cokes coming! We all had the giggles which always makes for a fun time!

The best part of the whole night was when we were sitting eating, and I was talking about how much I like Courntey G and lo and behold she walks by. We make eye contact and she smiles and waves to me (because we are BFF) and I wave back (somewhat like a maniac). She sat down two booths away from us and after we finished eating we went and chatted for a few minutes...luckily at this point she is excited to be famous and said yes when we asked if we could take a picture with her!! She is TINY!

This season is going to be awesome!! I hope everyone tunes in on Wednesday... Look for us to the right of the stage... we will be there!!

I just need to vent...
Why is it when you try and be prepared for dinner, the meal never turns out? And when you just randomly throw it together it is the best meal ever. Today before I left for work I decided to to make a crock pot meal so when I got home dinner was ready. Let's just say my crock pot is shot-- I suppose the $25 wal mart crock pot that I got in my first apartment only had a 3 year warranty. At any rate, I thought "no big deal" I will just make breakfast for dinner because that is always tasty--unless you have no milk left and every recipe for german pancakes, waffles and pancakes calls for milk. On a normal day I would just go to the store and buy some milk. Today however I went to the store on my way home because I didn't want to leave once I got home, and if I am going to go out, I might as well just stop by Jack and get a chicken fajita pita and X cooking for the evening.
So, I hope everyone had a fabulous dinner tonight-- I had Jack.

Preoccupied
Sorry it has been a while since I last posted, every free minute has been spent reading this....

And yesterday I finished it!! I LOVED IT!!! It was so good and at the moment I even like it better than Twilight Series... however, It has been over a year that I read Twilight, so perhaps I have gone too long without Edward in my life, and I have forgotten how much I loved him. At any rate, I recommend this book to anyone and everyone, it was FABULOUS!!!!
Anyone else finish it and like it?
