TGIF

Sorry it has been been a while since our last post, please cut us some slack we have finals week coming up and I've written approx 25 pages worth of papers in the past 4 days and I still have 2 more to do! But anyways it is FINALLY Friday! This past week I had to make up hours in the preschool from the week I was sick, and now it is Friday and I can take a breather. Since we are moving to Las Vegas in 15 days Andy doesn't have work, and this is the first Friday since we have been dating that we actually get to see each other! Today it is raining, and there is nothing better then comfort food, hot chocolate, and watching a movie, So we went to Burger Supreme (not to worry I had a side salad before the fries and burger) and in a few minutes we are going to watch a chick flick (it is my turn to choose :-)) Anyways, I hope everyone has a great Friday full of fun and snuggling by the Volcano (our space heater, but for the majority of the world, you can snuggle by a fire!)

Thanksgiving Weekend!

We have had quite the weekend in Las Vegas. We drove down on Tuesday afternoon and returned late Sunday night. Fortunately for us, Andy's sister Kelly was staying at the house with us so we got to play all weekend long with her kiddies. Meg and Mariah are the cutest little girls I have ever met. They LOVE dressing up like princesses and being girly and it is adorable. Thanksgiving dinner was great and I am officially a Coons now because I ate the famous orange rolls, I think I had 7 by the time Thanksgiving was over. I typically don't like orange rolls, but I liked these! All in all it was a great holiday and we can't wait till Christmas!!

When did it happen???

Those of you who have known me since high school (mom, dad and ashy) KNOW that in high school I could not procrastinate if my life depended on it! I would get an assignment in September that wasn't due till May and HAVE to start it THAT night, otherwise I would have serious panic attacks. If I needed a poster board for a presentation that was in a few weeks or months I would go home and tell my mom we HAVE to go to Office Max TONIGHT so I can get it done. I would honestly have anxiety attacks over school assignments. Now then, the day after we get back from Thanksgiving break I have a research paper due that is 8 pages long. Ask me how many pages I have written or how much I have researched? The answer is NONE! This past week I get home from school and think, "I should work on that paper"... instead I have watched the second season of Grey's Anatomy, and might I add, it has been the best season. At any rate, what has happened to me? I used to not procrastinate AT ALL, and now it is my middle name!

How do you spell T-O-N-S-I-L-L-I-T-I-S?

Last night Jilly was beginning to feel a little under the weather. She said that her head was hurting and her throat was dry and was beginning to hurt. Over the course of the day she developed a fever and was seriously getting ill. Throughout the night she was having a hard time swallowing and as a result, a hard time breathing. when we woke up this morning I took a look down her throat to find that one of her tonsils had swollen the right side of her mouth shut and there was just a little space for her to breathe out of on the left. Scared the crap out of me. Anyone who knows jillian well, knows she can only breathe out of her mouth when she sleeps, so it was potentially serious. Thanks to Pop and Alex, Jillian has some antibiotics and is recovering well. She is a tough girl.

Cravings, Cravings and MORE cravings!

Holy cow, this past week I have had the weirdest cravings. When I'm at a bonfire I enjoy the occasional hotdog, or at a BYU game it can't hurt. But on a day to day basis? Recently it has been everyday! Hotdogs, of all things! Today I came home from teaching in the preschool and I made not only a hotdog, but a chili dog, with Tots!

This little girl is what I look like eyeing my hotdog...

For "snack" time in preschool on Monday we had oreos and pudding, can you guess what I eat for dessert after hotdogs? Double stuffed oreos! I figure its the only way I drink milk (after I've dunked an oreo in it for about 15 seconds.)

At this rate I am going gain the freshman 15 BACK! Just thought I'd let you all know about my obsessions this week. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Tagged

My sister tagged me so here are six things that you may or may not know about me....

1. I LOVE button-up shirts. It doesn't matter if it is short sleeve, 3/4, or long I will wear it. My mom HATES them, so I don't know where I got my love for them, but I would wear them everyday if I had the opportunity. They are just so versatile, you can wear them under sweaters, vests, the opportunities are endless. My roommates would always tease me because I tend to have a favorite that I wear more than others, and each time I would walk out of my room in the morning wearing it they would always say, "Again?"

2. I am most likely the ultimate hopeless romantic. I can watch any romantic comedy and just love it. I don't care how cheesy it is, I love it. Andy has now learned that if he wants to go to a movie that he knows I probably don't care to see he says, "But there is a love story in it" and I usually fall for it every time and will go. This probably explains my obsession with Edward and Bella, such a cute romantic tale.

3. I hate the snow. I typically don't use the word hate, but in this instance it is appropriate. Since living in Provo I have come to realize that snow is something to visit, not live in. Whenever I would wake up in the morning to go to class and it had snowed all night, I would roll over and go back to sleep. Because, A.) There is no point in getting ready when the second you walk outside your hair and makeup are ruined B.) You put on 15 layers to try and stay warm, and then you get inside your destination and it is 80 degrees and you have to strip off all your clothes otherwise you sweat, and C.) It takes 20 minutes to warm up your car, so you are just freezing the entire time. Many of you out there will say, but what about skiing and snowboarding? And those sports are fun until you take a fall (Or garage sale as my dad would call it, where one ski flies one way and the other flies in the opposite direction, not to mention the poles that are 20 feet above where you are) and now you have snow in your mittens, and boots and it is just straight cold. Yes, no thank you, I will take a beach with a good book, and a diet coke ANYDAY!

4.I am OCD about how the kitchen has to be cleaned. I love it when Andy helps out, but I usually kick him out mid way through because I like it done a certain way. It is so stupid because what does it matter if it gets cleaned? It doesn't. However, that doesn't change the fact that it has to be done a certain way.

5. I love Jack in the Box. Everything on the menu I could eat everyday. Most people would agree that Jack's is pretty dang good, and everyone loves the tacos, which I too agree are fantastic. I mean, can you really beat 2 tacos for 99 cents? But have you ever tried the egg rolls? Oh my, they are fantastic, way better then Pick up Stix. And the pitas, with a little oreo shake for dessert. I could honestly eat Jack's everyday and never get sick of it.

6. Like most women getting ready is such a chore that I usually put it off to the very last second. But for me the worst part of the getting ready process is getting out of the shower. Every morning I stand under the water thinking just turn it off... and then Ok now.. but i usually have to do that a few times before I get the courage to actually turn it off. All because it is freezing, your nice smooth legs turn to stubble, and your hair it dripping wet down your back. When Ashley and I were little we would get out and lay in the fetal position with our towels over us trying to get warm. But the problem with that is when you get up it is almost colder than if you would have just dried off and gotten dressed before.

Anyways, that is me! I now tag Kara, Leandra, and Sister Weenig (yes, it doesn't matter how old I get, you will always be Sister Weenig!)

Girls night out!

Tonight my best friend and freshman roommate Kara went out to dinner and a movie. Her husband was out of town and mine was at work. We saw No Reservations with Catherine Zeta Jones and then we went to Cafe Rio for dinner. The movie was pretty good, but what isn't for a dollar? And dinner was fabulous as always. It was fun to hang out with Kara just the two of us. I forgot my camera, so here are just a few pictures from Freshman Summer... We weren't roommates at the time, but we lived on the same hall in Helaman. We became best friends instantly, and have been friends ever since.

This was at our ward 80's night... Kara got way into it~

We both got asked out to the semi-formal dance. Good times!

Love you Kara!!

My dad just sent me some pictures from Wednesday, so I thought I would post them since pictures are fun to look at. Enjoy!

Liquid Plumber Jet

We have the oldest appliances in the entire world. Our apartment put crown modling in our family room and thought that was enough improvements to last a few more years. Anyways, our kitchen sink clogs many times and the maintenance crew can't always come over on a minutes notice. Tonight when this happened I called Andy/Drew at work to tell him of the news. He said in a chipper voice, "Don't worry, I will just use my handyman ability to fix the problem". So off we went to the grocery store to buy some drano. As we were looking for it the Liquid Plumber Jet caught our eye. WE decided to buy both. SEriously, this stuff is best thing EVER EVER EVER!! Our sink was clogged with water in it and we just took the can, put it in the hole, and it shot its stuff and the water immediately drained, no problem. If anyone has clogging issues, I highly recommend my new best friend!
