Peritonsillar Abscess??

As most of you know I have been feeling a bit under the weather the past few days. Well, this morning I decided that we should head over to the student health center to make sure everything is going well with the recovery process. After some blood work and various tests the doctor comes in to inform us that she is referring us to an ears, nose, and throat specialist. So at 3:00 we headed to the specialist in PAYSON UTAH!!! We didn't realize what type of town Payson really was until we arrived at the ENT office. Oh WoW- as Ava would say. The picture below shows what the doctor looked like, in exactness... Yes he did have the headband with the metal circle on it, which is from approximately the 1950's. And yes when he went to examine my throat he put it around his eye and looked through it. Long, long story short, after a few shots and incisions in my tonsil, he extracted the infection, with little to no anesthesia. Let's just say I am glad that it is over! My voice is getting back to normal, slowly, and the abscess should hopefully be gone.  I can eat ice cream and jello, which many would think is yummy, but I cannot wait to eat a big, juicy hamburger with lots of french fries and a big diet coke! Thanks to everyone who has visited, Kara, the flowers are beautiful, sitting by me bed, and Ashley the ice cream hits the spot!! (I just have to get it out when Andy isn't watching, otherwise he wants some!)
