Well, I didn't look at the icing recipe until AFTER I had put the cupcakes in the oven. Here are the ingredients:
5 egg whites
1 1/4 c Fine Granulated Sugar
4 Cubes Butter
1/4 Cold Water
When I read it I thought, hmm... Is "Fine Granulated sugar" also known as powdered sugar?? The answer is no! They have you whip the egg whites, and take the water and sugar and melt heat them on the stove. Then, when it has reached 245 degrees F you add it to the egg whites and add in the butter. It is by far the BEST icing I have ever tasted. Who knew that you could use granulated sugar? And in all seriousness, it wasn't that hard!!
Now then, I didn't let the sugar cool down enough before I added the butter so it doesn't have the right consistency that it should (give me a break it was my first try) and so it tastes wonderful, but doesn't look the greatest...
But I challenge anyone who needs a good cupcake recipe to try this ASAP!! I will never make a boxed cupcake again!

You can make some when you visit next time.
4 CUBES butter!!! No wonder they taste so good, and I think they look divine.
Post the cupcake recipe too!
Walter ate 4 cubes of butter last night off the counter (including the paper wrappers).
Needless to say, dad cleaned up a huge pile of throw up and mom didn't make cookies today.
NASTY!
