Birthday Presents

With 23 nieces/nephews (and 2 on the way!) birthday presents are a must! I try to be original in our gift-giving, and also budget friendly! :-)

Today we are celebrating our cute little niece Beatrice's second birthday and I wanted something she would love. After babysitting her for a long weekend I discovered that she loves wearing aprons. So I set out to make one perfect for her petite size!

I didn't have a pattern so I modeled it after my "Hooter-Hider" pattern. I used brown grosgrain ribbon for the ties and added a cute little owl applique on the front. I paired it with one of my favorite books "The Little Hoot" and voila! A perfect gift for Bea for less than $15!

I LOVE having my sewing machine out because it makes sewing much more fun when you don't have to get it out for each project. I'm sure Andy is thrilled with my new sewing "station"but I love it!
