Chicago and Nauvoo

On July 25 my little brother was married in the Nauvoo, IL Temple. After much deliberation, we all decided to leave children over the age of 1 at home. Nauvoo is beautiful, but not easy to get to with children. So I went with Trevor and Fern and Andy stayed home with the kiddos.

Here we are just landed in Chicago with our diet cokes ready to head to Nauvoo.

When we arrived in Nauvoo we went to the temple. It was so beautiful!
When my In-laws lived in Nauvoo for their mission they lived in this house. We visited when Lucas was 6 weeks old. Such a cute home.
Met up with the family for some dinner in Keokuk.
Johnny and I became BFF on this trip.
 Touring Nauvoo with my parents

Outside Carthage Jail. Such a touching experience.
Nauvoo Root Beer at the Red Brick Store.

 The Beautiful Bride!

 The Bruce Siblings.

After the festivities we drove back to Chicago for a day of site seeing. First on the list was some Pizza.

 Best Bruschetta ever tasted.

 The Bean.

Some live music in Millenial Park.

 More PIzza.

Leave it up to me to find a Chick Fil A!

Cutest kiddos. Andy sent me pictures of the kids while I was gone. Love those kiddos!!
Such a fun "Mommy" trip. Chicago is one of my favorite cities. I can't wait to go back with Andy someday!
