5 Months Old

Today Lucas turned 5 months! This month has seriously flown by. We didn't have a ton of time for a monthly photo shoot--so here are just a few from the park. I am hoping to get some great ones this week in Cabo.

The Monkey behind Lucas is a "Pillow Pet". They are a Bruce Family Favorite and Lucas has finally started to like his.

Lucas and his daddy...they are good friends. I am chop liver whenever dad is around.

Just a cute close-up. Lucas' eyes are still brown. I am still holding out that he will end up with Andy's eyes, but Auntie Ashley's beautiful brown eyes wouldn't be so bad either :-)

Some things I want to remember about the past month:
- We started solids and Lucas LOVES them, especially Squash.
- Lucas has mastered rolling over from back-to-belly and belly-to-back
- He now sleeps on his tummy, unswaddled and is MUCH happier and a 10+ hour sleeper
- Giggles nonstop, loves it when you blow raspberries on his tummy, and knows his name
- Loves his Johnny Jumper....will jump all day long if we let him
- I think he is getting his first tooth... but then again I don't know much.

We can't believe Lucas has been in our lives for 5 months and can't remember life without him. Love you little monkey!

4 Months Old

Today our little Lucas Henry turned 4 months old! My, how time flies. Here is a snapshot of Lucas at 4 months old:

- Just learned how to giggle. It is so stinkin cute. If you tickle him or sing him a song he will giggle
- Is rolling over front to back... almost back to front, but not there just yet
- Will put any object into his mouth--hands, feet, toys, pacifiers
- Can get out of ANY swaddle! He has even mastered getting out of the Miracle Blanket--Naughty Shame
- Still loves his swing
- Knows his mommy and daddy... he especially loves his daddy. He gets SO excited to see him when he gets home from work
- We're still learning how to fall asleep on our own. Some nights he does great...other nights, not so great.

Today we took our 4 month photos... he wanted to be Mr. Serious, but is still the cutest love bug!

3 Months Old

Today Lucas is 3 Months Old! I can't believe how fast he has grown. Already he has been to Missouri, Illionois, California (3 times!), and Utah! Pretty soon he will be an international traveler once we go to Chile to visit my parents.

Anyway...back to his 3 month post. Lucas loves to smile, even when he is upset he is smiling. It melts my heart every time he smiles at me. I can't help but kiss his cheeks each time!He is now sleeping in 8-10 hour increments at nighttime and loves his swing. He does not like tummy time, but we are working on it. Here is Lucas at 3 months:

Lucas loves to stare and focus on things. We're not quite sure what color his eyes are. Andy thinks they will be a dark hazel.

I love he was resting his arm on the chair, like "I'm just relaxing, having a good time"... too cute

2 Months Old

Today Lucas turned 2 months old. I know everyone says this with each passing month, but he seriously just keeps getting more fun! He is now "cooing" and smiling. I LOVE getting him each morning because as soon as he sees me he gets the biggest smile. It melts my heart each day! So far he loves his play-mat, swing, bouncer, and just being held. His favorite way to fall asleep is holding him upright on his tummy so that he is lying on your chest. He will now sleep for 8 hours for his first interval!! I'm hoping in just a few more weeks he will be sleeping completely through the night.

1 Month Old

I cannot believe our little Lucas is already 1 month old!! This past month has flown by and already he is getting so big. To celebrate Lucas turning 1 month old he slept for 5 1/2 hours, ate for 20 minutes and then went right back down for 4 more hours! Hopefully this means when you turn 1 month you st art sleeping longer!
