Update #2

They broke her water about 20 minutes ago.

Contractions are mild, but definitely there. Getting the epidural in about 20 minutes. Dilated to a 4!!!

Baby Jane, update #1

Just heard from Andy. Jillian was just admitted to the hospital to be induced. Her contractions are already 5-7 minutes apart.

They will start her on Pitocin and break her water. So I'm sure things will go pretty fast. Stay tuned as I will update as things progress.

We love you Jilly! Can't wait to meet baby!

Lucas Update!

I haven't done a post on Lucas for way too long. He is such a funny little kid and has developed quite the attitude the past few months. I don't know if I am so pregnant that I don't have the energy to discipline or what. Mainly he just likes to point his finger at me and say, " No Mama" and run away. Naughty Shamers that boy!

Here are a few pictures...

While watching a show, Lucas came running up and said, "mama, I'm scared!" and jumped on the couch and held on for dear life. Not the best picture, but I wanted to capture his sweet innocence.

All ready for church. My grandma bought him these shorts and I love how cute he looked today. Also notice the green train. This is Henry from the Thomas shows. We seriously do not go anywhere without Henry. Lucas loves him!

Whenever Andy wears a baseball hat, Lucas has to have one too. On Saturday we went to cousin Owens baseball game and both boys wore their hats. We didn't get to stay as long as we wanted because Lucas didn't quite understand why he didn't get to go play "skee ball".

First time eating golden spoon... He loved it. Like mother, like son :)

How I found Lucas napping this week. On the floor, light sabor (sp?) in hand, too cute.

I love this age. Although difficult at times because he is so independent and defiant, the cute sweet moments make up for the not so sweet ones :)

38 weeks

Today I am 38 weeks. Andy is in Provo for work training and I am praying baby girl stays put until Friday. Then she better come! I had an appointment today and my doctor was very pleased with my progress. I am dilated to a 2, "very thin", and the baby is head down and very low. She said I could go at any moment.... Or be like this for another week.

Luckily for Lucas and I my grandma flew in yesterday to stay with us while Andy is gone. Every time I have a contraction her palms start to sweat because she doesn't want me to go into labor until Andy gets home. :)

I feel pretty good... I am hungry all the time and my hips are sore. Im not sleeping much, but I am "resting". When Andy and I were dating we flew down to California for him to ask my dads permission. I knew that was the purpose of the trip and I also knew my dad said yes. So for the weeks following our trip I would get ready everyday (hair, makeup, cute outfit) just in case Andy proposed. After a week and a half of this, and my hair almost dead from all the flat ironing I told Andy just to make sure I looked cute. This is how I feel now. Every morning that I don't blow dry my hair I think, "if baby girl decides to come the first pictures are going to be so ugly" so I end up doing my hair. Vain? Perhaps. But that's how I feel. I guess once my contractions are somewhat consistent I can run up and flat iron my hair :)

That's all for tonight... I'll keep you posted. Once I go into labor Ashley will update for me... Just like last time :)

Team Turner

When we first moved to Las Vegas 4 years ago I got a job at The Staubach Company. I worked part time in the office and part time nannying Robby and Veronica. Here we are on one of our first days together:
Veronica is so little in this picture! When I think of these two cuties this is how I remember them. Since then I have had Lucas and Baby #2 is on the way, and the Turners have moved to Alabama. We haven't seen each other in over two years and yesterday we got to go to lunch together while they were here for Spring Break.
I cannot believe how big "my" kids are!!! Robby is almost as tall as me! Veronica is no longer a little girl! It was so much fun to see them and go to Golden Spoon--one of our old time favorites. Now we just need to make a trip to Birmingham to see them and go to Chick Fil A... don't you know by now all vacations are dictated by whether or not there is a Chick Fil A?

Update!

This is what I look like around 8:00 every night. I am completely exhausted. Notice Lucas in the back watching some show on the iPad. Today he refused to take a nap then when it was time to run an errand at 5:00 he fell asleep in the car. SO FRUSTRATING! So now instead of going to bed he is just getting started on the evening meaning my bedtime won't be for a few more hours :)

Anyway.. I am officially "Full Term" and ready for baby girl to arrive. Unfortunately, she will most likely not make an appearance for another 2 weeks. In the meantime I am waddling everywhere and lucky to sleep here and there.

Now that it is "official" I can post on the blog that we are MOVING! It has been quite the past few weeks working out all the details, but after much prayer and fasting we have decided that it is time we head back to the Beehive state and have Andy finish his schooling and then some (a post grad degree). So our house is in escrow, we traded in our car for a more "snow worthy" one and Andy was just offered a great job that will allow him to go to school and work. The only hiccup is I am 9 months pregnant and can't move!

So we won't be leaving until baby girl is a few weeks old. We are so sad to be leaving our house, family and friends but are excited for this new chapter in our lives.

So I will be a little absent from the blog as I pack up the house and tend a crazy toddler and newborn baby! Wish us luck!

Baby Shower

This past Saturday my darling friends Sara, Rachel and Danielle threw me a baby shower for baby girl. It was so cute and so much fun to celebrate Baby Girl. The theme was centered around the nursery colors of pink and green-- the hostesses did not miss a beat with all the decor!

Darling going away favors... white chocolate popcorn with M&M's
The delicious food table-- Chicken salad on croissants, a strawberry salad and vegetable platter with three dips.
Can't forget the marching straws (it's all in the details with these gals!)
Opening gifts... love this "french" outfit
 My cute friend Camille
The three hostesses-- L to R Rachel, Sara, and Danielle
Last, but certainly, not least- My sissy! Sara and Ashley plotted together to surprise me by having my sister come into town for the day. It was so much fun to have her at the party. Plus we got to shop and dine after the party with NO kids. I think it was our first kid free dinner in over 5 years. So much fun!

 The whole party!
A HUGE thank you to everyone who came to love Baby Girl. I am so grateful to have such wonderful friends and family to support and love us. Now the countdown is on.. 4 weeks. I can do it!
