2 Years and 364 days left.... but who's counting?

Well, they are "officially" missionaries. We dropped all three off at the MTC and said good-bye. I shed a few tears... got in the car and shed a few more. Luckily mission presidents can call, text and iChat whenever they want. If we could only talk on Mother's Day and Christmas I don't think I would have let my mom leave... ok and my dad. I am so excited for my brother and parents and the experiences they are going to have. I am also so happy that my sister is my best friend so we can lean on one another during the next three years. She has one of the best listening ears and is only 4 hours away!

Just thought this was a handsome picture of Elder "Doodle" Bruce walking in to the MTC
Now it's time to get in the groove of sending packages... I have a few surprises up my sleeve... :-)

Ash: I learned something from Elder Pearson of the Seventy this morning. He asked me how I was doing and I said I'm a little scared. He said the first week is hard but the second week won't be like the first; the first month is hard but the second month won't be the same. The mission experience gets better with each day so don't imagine it being like the first day or week.

I hope your tomorrow will be better than today.

I saw Elder Nelson (grandfather) today and he remembered me. That was fun. I met Elder Holland and he told me I'm lucky to go to Antofagasta. I talked to Elaine Dalton and she told me I need to redecorate the mission home and that the people of Chile will make me forget the desert. All in all a great day.

We saw Dallas at breakfast and he looked good but a little shell shocked. His comp Elder Christianson seems like a great kid. We also saw Nick Neser and he says hi. tomorrow we will go find Dallas again in the cafeteria.

I love you to the moon (or to Anto) and hope you are happy.

(Jilly - me cut and paste skills are bad on IPad so this is addressed to Ash. But it's for you too..)

It is always hard to say good bye at the MTC. But you are right, at least you can call and text as often as you need to or want to!
