My One Year Old!

I guess technically she isn't one until Sunday, but since we will be out of town I am posting this a few days early. In some instances it seems like just yesterday our Janie girl was born, and in the same moment it seems like she has been apart of our family for years. I like to think that before Jane was born she knew what a special role she would have in our family. She knew that this year would be difficult beyond all measure and she knew that it would be her smiling face, her spunky personality and her tender spirit that would help all of us through some dark hours. I am so grateful for our Bay Jane and that she decided, trials and all, that she would come anyway.

My dear friend Trina came to my rescue today and took some pictures of Jane in her Easter and Birthday dress. I love them and will forever cherish these pictures.

At 12 months old Jane is...

- Crawling, pulling herself up, walking with the help of her stroller, and standing on her own
- Loves the bath. She can now get into the bath on her own by putting one leg up and pushing herself in. Then she kind of slides down the side of the tub like seal. It is really quite impressive!
- Has the smallest feet ever! She is still wearing 3-6 months shoes!
- Loves to dance. I mean... LOVES! We have a CD in the car and anytime she is fussy you can turn it on and she will dance. Her favorite is If you're happy and you know it. We have been on a "Wreck it Ralph" movie kick these days and during the credits we all dance. If you at any time put Jane down during the credits she cries and pulls herself up on your leg... and then as soon as you pick her up she starts dancing again. It is so cute.
- Is allergic to pretty much everything... Egg, Milk, Wheat, and Peanuts. So she pretty much just has soy formula everyday, with a mix of fruits. Good thing she finally likes her bottle!
- Gives kisses, but very sparingly. You can't ask for one because she won't give it. You have to wait until she wants to.
- Loves to clap
- Hates wearing shoes. Anytime she has them on she takes them off.
- Is finally getting a little bit of hair :)
