Jane's Birthday

When I realized Jane's birthday fell on Easter Sunday we knew we had to have a party :) We kept it low key with family and friends and had a very "Hoppy Birthday". We had already decided months ago to celebrate Easter with John and Jane in Mesquite. Jane and I started planning a party for Little Jane and had a fun time with the preparations.

We woke up early for church on Easter Sunday. It was so fun to go to John and Jane's ward in Mesquite, even if it started at 8 AM!

Pre-church Family Shot- PS... this is Jane's quienteseential look
When we got home it was time to start decorating! I had made these fabric banners that we strung along the pillars in the backyard. I loved how they turned out and am going to hang them in Jane's room.

This was the food table. We had flank steak and salmon, homemade rolls, cheesy potatoes, fruit salad, and asparagus. It was so yummy!

Trying to get a picture with these two is next to impossible :)

 Daddy's Girl

We had an egg hunt, seeing how it was Easter in all :) All the kids patiently waiting.

I LOVED this picture of sweet Audra helping her little brother Rhett hunt for eggs.
 The whole gang :)
It was so much fun spending time with the Hinckleys and I am so grateful they drove up from Las Vegas to spend the day with us.
The 10 picture timer was still set when Andy took our picture so naturally we started posing... I love Danielle, always up for some fun :)
 Eric and Andy

Love this picture Andy took of Lucas sharing a very important tale, most likely of lightening McQueen to Bompa.

Every 1st birthday I go to my favorite part is always the cake. Probably because I loves sweets and typically this is when baby's get their first taste. Needless to say this has been stressing me out for Jane. Seeing how she is allergic to everything I didn't know what to do! I made several cakes in the prior weeks trying to find something that tasted yummy. For the record... There is no such thing as a yummy gluten free, egg free and dairy free baked good. I found one that kind of tasted good.

Jane went head first so I thought we may have a good cake eating birthday.
Then she tasted it...

And she realized it was gross... and stuck her foot in it. Awesome. Maybe by next year she will outgrow the allergies?
We changed clothes and opened presents... Love these two Jane's

And then Jane hit a wall and took a nap, while the rest of the party goers enjoyed croquet, tag, and talking.

This is my favorite picture... The boys wanted everyone to play croquet, so Danielle, Jamie and I got our croquet on. I was terrible. I would whack the ball as hard as possible and it would go nowhere. So on Danielle's second try she whacks the ball as hard as she could and it went flying-- FLYING! It hit the ground and bounced up and almost hit a few kids, almost broke a window, and almost took out Jane. It was so funny that Eric literally fell to the ground laughing, Needless to say after that round Danielle and I were banned from croquet and given permission to sit out and catch up.
And this is for Audra and Lucas' engagement video. These two are such good friends and play so well together. And Preston and Owen are best buds so we thought this would be a good picture op.

We had such a great day and are so grateful for everyone who came and helped celebrate with us.

Happy Birthday Sweet Janie Girl!!

loved the post! My favorites: the shot of eric on the ground, Jane with her foot in the cake and the last one where Lucas almost looks like he is checking Audra's pulse! :) thanks for having us!Happy Birthday Jane!
