St. Patricks Day 2009

Yesterday I had to go to a Broker Luncheon for work. Unlike others, this one had a theme- Pot of Gold. When we arrived we had to take a picture with a Leprchaun (sp?).
Here were the results: Why is the crazy Leprechaun doing the crazy hardcore symbol ( I don't know what it is really called)? Why do my legs look as if I have gained 50 pounds? (My guess is the oreos) What is with my forehead? I promise I use powder, perhaps I should consider changing brands?

Although I had to take this hideous picture, I did receive a $50 giftcard to the store of my choice, and Lucille's BBQ for lunch. All in all, not bad, eh?

Core Rhythm

My mom woke up in the middle of the night last week and saw an infomerical for Core Rhythm.

It is a workout video for core training as well as teaching Latin dances.  While in her sleepy state she called and ordered it. The sales person kept asking her if she wanted to add on additional DVD's and she got mad that she hung up. The next morning she woke up not really sure if she actually ordered it. Today it was on the doorstep, apparently the order did go through. Anyway tonight we decided to test it out ... instead of actual dancing we felt like this:

I will say we did break a sweat and we would have kept going but we both were laughing too hard. Gotta love little McDreamy!

I highly recommend this for anyone needing a good laugh. :-)

Does Tide make a difference?

I like to think of myself as a bargain shopper. I like sales, I only buy things that are on sale and/or a good price. There are things in life I don't mind "splurging" on, like jeans, cute shoes, fresh produce, etc... One thing I have never ever splurged on is Tide. I always want to because in my head I see Tim Gunn with two purple shirts, one that is still bright purple (because it was washed with Tide) and one that is a gross faded purple (the cheap brand, the brand I buy, wait, that is MY faded purple shirt). And then I get to the dreaded aisle and I put the $15.00 Tide in my cart and keep walking... and then every time the $5.00 Purex wiggles its way out and I always switch! I mean seriously, what is an extra $10.00?

Well, let me tell you..
- 10 diet cokes at sonic
- 2 skirts off the 75% off rack at Target
- In 'N Out instead of cooking one night (totally worth it)
- One month subsciption to netflix

and the list goes on and on...

So I always go with the Purex, until yesterday. Yesterday I decided to fight the urge and I spend a little extra to buy the Tide. I just pulled the first load out of the dryer and in all seriousness this is what I did....

Seriously it smelled SO good... I just wanted to lay in it. So, does Tide make a difference? I don't know yet, I do know it smells better, and we'll see if my clothes continue to fade.

I guess no more netflix for this family... we chose better smelling laundry over it.

The Perfect Valentine

This year we decided to celebrate Valentines on the 17th since the 14th we were busy playing with Baby Avery. We decided to go all out and eat at the Yard House.

It was delicious! I had their macadamia nut salmon and Andy had steak. It was divine!

A few weeks ago Andy asked what I wanted for Valentines Day and I said Chocolate Covered Strawberries and I totally forgot that I had mentioned this. When we got home I sat on the couch to rest because I was so full and Andy told me to close my eyes. When I opened them this was sitting in front of me....

Andy not only remembered, but researched the best way to make Chocolate Covered Strawberries. They were so yummy!

We had a great day of and I have the Perfect Valentine! Thanks babe!
