Lucas Henry

I love this little boy. He is the sweetest little boy and I sometimes can't get enough of him. He still lets me give him kisses and I will honestly be sad the day he doesn't! He throws some crazy tantrums that sometimes lead me to eat far too much chocolate... and he ignores like the best of them (must take after his Grandpa Leland). But overall, he is my little pal.

He has said some funny things the past month that I don't want to forget...

While driving past Kripy Kreme L:"Mom! Let's go get a Donut!" M: "Not today" L: "Why not?" M:"Because the line is too long".... then we pass it and he screams, "TURN around mommy!"

That was the first time he asked "Why?" The first of many I am sure. And when did he learn to say Turn Around?

We have been working on what his full name is and how old he is. but now he thinks everyone's last name is "Coons". We jokingly ask him what someone's name is just to hear him say Dallas Coons or Trevor Coons or Fern Coons. And the other day he pointed to a picture of Jesus and said, "Look mom, Jesus Coons."Alrighty then... time to start correcting him.

Then we saw a puppy in a car as we were running errands and he told me he wanted a dog. I asked him what he would name a dog and he said, "Hmmmm," (while having his finger tapping his lips, no less), and he said, "Doggie Coons".

At the end of everyday he asks you, "mom, what was your favorite part?"

He now knows what are "girl" things and what are "boy" things. So if I ask him if he wants to watch something (Sofia the First) and he will say. "Mommy, that is for girls".

Lucas loves pizza... and the other day we ordered some for dinner after an exceptionally horrible day where cooking was not an option. When the pizza guy came I opened the door and Lucas screams, "Daddy, the pizza is HERE! Da da da daaaaaa" with his hand in the air. It was too cute. It also helped that he was just in his diaper and socks.

Anyway... I am pretty sure no one reads blogs anymore, but I love reading back at what I wrote and remember things that I would have forgotten if it wasn't for my blog. So I will keep going just so I can remember the fun, silly, sad, happy memories we create!

At bedtime we sing songs... how many depends on how tired Lucas is and what time it is. Tonight I said, ok 1 song. He immediately said, no 2 songs. I think we have another negotiator in the family... once again, Grandpa Leland?

First of all, what do you care if anyone is reading your blog? And second of all, your blog is better than packages from home!
