My kids don't get birthday parties every year, more like every other to every other other year. This year Jane and I decided to plan a friends birthday and it was a huge hit! We sent out invites to her church friends and closest school friends and had a total of 14 girls. I asked Jane what kind of party she wanted to do and we settled on a "Puppy Party". We purchased stuffed animal puppies for all the attendees and then made outfits, collars, leashes and a cute take home box. We had the party in the morning and started off with pancakes, bacon and strawberries. When Jane and I told the girls they got to choose a puppy they all said, "And we get to take it home?" When we told them yes they all started squealing. I had them all fill out Adoption Certificates with their Puppy name and I loved their creativity- from Cookie to Biscuit we had all sorts of fun names.
I made these cute Puppy placemats and arranged all the puppies on the table with Edible dog bones.
The girls loved playing outside with their puppies, sending them down the slide and playing hide and seek.
We also went on a scavenger hunt so we could "walk out puppies". We ended up at the park and played for awhile, again pushing our puppies on the swings and down the slides. I love the girls imaginations!
We had so much fun planning the party and Jane was so thrilled with how it turned out!
